Well.. I hadn’t seen this posted here but here’s the situation. Two groups sued two counties to keep them from throwing out mail in ballots that have the wrong date on the outside. A lower court sided with those two groups. (The AP article doesn’t say who the groups are just that they are ‘left leaning.’) But it was appealed to the Pennsylvania Supreme court who voided that decision on a technicality that the groups didn’t sue ALL counties, just the two biggest. Basically they said that you can’t just have the two largest (and most democratic) counties have different rules than the rest of the counties.
So it is unclear what comes next. Do they sue all the counties? Do they do nothing? It has the potential to effect the race because at least according to the article a fair number of older democrats use mail in voting and have the highest error rate with dates on the outside.
